CarmichaelUK are recruiting for an experienced Section Engineer on a major rail infrastructure works contract based in South London; We are keen to hear from you if you have major project experience working on civils, rail, platform extensions, precast RC, utility diversions and groundworks projects.
This project is expected to last another 6 -12 months and you will benefit from market competitive rates whilst working for one of the industry’s leading contractors.
As a Section Engineer for this scope of works, your duties will include:
- Assist the Sub Agent for all section of works
- Sub-contractor management
- Amending and writing method statements and risk assessments
- Help managing the self-delivery labour force
- Carrying out quality inspections
- Produce ITPs and as-builts
- Planning weekly and monthly programmes
If you would like to apply for the Section Engineer position, you will also need to demonstrate the following:
- Have previously worked within a rail environment and civils sectors
- Previously worked as an experienced site engineer (preferably with a main contractor)
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of quality assurance, writing method statements and risk assessments
- Hold a construction-related degree or HNC
- Hold a valid CSCS Card
- PTS (ideally)
