Carmichael are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Agent for a major infrastructure project in Greenwich.
This role is expected to last another 6 months with the option for permanent placement after the initial contract stint.
We are looking for someone with a background in the delivery of Pipes / Pumps / Fans (Preferable in a tunnel environment)
Duties will include:
- Strong ability to manage a construction site. This includes all construction related activities, safety and quality aspects of the works.
- Management of Mechanical works and subcontractors
- Considerable experience in managing major mechanical utilities packages, preferably in a trafficable tunnel / railway environment construction site or similar safety-conscious environment.
- A good awareness of construction methods plant and equipment installation, finishes and systems integration.
- Be knowledgeable of the CDM Regulations as applied to the Design and Construction processes.
- Be knowledgeable of relevant British, European, LUL and Company Standards and the Reference/Working Manual.
- Experience of working on multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
- Experience of operating in a multi-contractor site environment.
- Experience of commissioning and handover of infrastructure assets for operational use and effective construction phasing.
- Experience of working in complex project management, safety focused and regulated organisation, where there are multiple, complex interfaces and delivering to time, budget and quality.

- Demonstrate sound knowledge of quality assurance, writing method statements and risk assessments
- Hold a construction related degree or HNC
- Hold a valid CSCS Card
