The M25 upgrade scheme included upgrading 46km of the motorway, between J5 - 7 (through Kent & Surrey), J23 - 27 (through Herefordshire and Essex) and J30 - 31 (through Essex). 

Work carried out included installation of new emergency technology including motorway spanning gantries, refuge areas, emergency telephones, overhead signals, verge mounted signs and CCTV cameras. The project upgrade was delivered 36 weeks ahead of schedule due to the work on junctions 23 - 27 coming to an end 14 weeks early and 22 weeks early at junctions 5 - 7.
