To improve a 20 mile stretch of the M6 motorway between Junctions 16-19, by converting the existing motorway into a smart motorway. Personnel working through CarmichaelUK were involved in carrying out an extensive upgrade of the existing drainage system, construction of 18 new emergency areas, bridge strengthening and protection works, and construction of new gantries and electronic signs.
