Werrington Grade Separation is a £200m scheme forming part of the East Coast Main Line Connectivity programme. The intent of the project is to separate a major junction on the East Coast Main Line by installing a dive undertaking freight and local passenger services below the Line. The project will incorporate piled retaining walls, bored tunnels, steel structures and a box jack. Work began on site Summer 2018 with the programme lasting until 2021.
