Join a Growing Water Infrastructure Contractor
Our client is a fast-growing, family-orientated civil engineering contractor delivering projects across the Thames Water network. With a growing portfolio of secured projects throughout the AMP8 programme, they are seeking an experienced 360 Excavator Operator (Tracked) to support the delivery of clean water infrastructure projects across the Swindon area.

The Role
As a 360 Excavator Operator, you will play a key role in delivering excavation and earthworks activities across a range of water infrastructure and civil engineering projects. You will be responsible for operating machinery safely and efficiently while supporting site teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards.
Projects will be based on sites across the Swindon area, and candidates must be willing to travel between sites as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate tracked 360 excavators safely and efficiently
- Carry out excavation works for water and utility infrastructure projects
- Support trenching, pipe laying, drainage, and reinstatement activities
- Work closely with Groundworkers, Supervisors, and Site Management teams
- Conduct daily machine checks and report any defects
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety requirements
- Assist with general site duties where required
- Maintain high standards of productivity, quality, and site housekeeping
Essential Requirements
✅ CPCS or NPORS Card (with CSCS Logo)
✅ Proven experience operating tracked 360 excavators on civil engineering, utilities, or infrastructure projects
✅ Good understanding of safe excavation practices
✅ Full UK Driving Licence
✅ Ability to travel between sites across the Swindon region
Desirable Qualifications
✔ EUSR National Water Hygiene Card
✔ EUSR SHEA Water
✔ EUSR Utility Excavation (Cat 1 & 2)
✔ Experience working on Thames Water or other utility frameworks
