I'm looking to recruit an experienced administrator to report to the Skills Hub Manager and assist with the implementation and overall administration for a major construction project based @ Luton Parkway.  This is a contract role with 9+ months work available.  The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • providing Skills Hub administrative support
  • keep up to date training and delegate records
  • assisting the organisation of training sessions
  • preparing training documentation
  • contacting candidates to book them into courses

 

Key Responsibilities:

Training Coordination:

  • Book candidates onto training courses and ensuring continuity and consistency in delivery
  • Liaise with candidates and organisation to ensure full attendance of training sessions
  • Support the continual development and delivery of training courses and initiatives that prepare people for work
  • Maintain the training database that maps individuals’ skills assessments to the skills requirements of construction sites
  • Support development of Skills Hub administration apprentice

 

Administration;

  • Ensure the timely input, accuracy and maintenance of training data within business systems
  • Support the implementation of changes into normal operations ensuring smooth integration and minimising disruption

 

Compliance:

  • Comply with VFK Joint Venture functional policies and procedures.
  • Embody VFK’s values towards its customers and to promote its vision
  • Adhere to GDPR guidelines and ensure security around information held
  • Adherence to Health and Safety regulations
  • Work with colleagues to understand stakeholders in an effort to meet their expectations
  • Recognise, promote and implement best practice

 

Reporting:

  • Support to Skills Hub team to provide key stakeholders with regular, accurate and consolidated information regarding capability, performance and compliance of the Skills Hub.

 

Required Qualifications / Expertise

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Good interpersonal skills,
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft office skills, particularly Excel
  • Excellent file management skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of training course administration
  • Confidentiality/familiar with GDPR legislation
  • Working independently and on own initiative
  • Focussed individual with strong organising skills
