Carmichael UK are looking for an experienced Agent to join a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering works as part of a major long-term water framework across London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Agent with a strong civil engineering or utilities background to join an established delivery team working across a varied programme of water infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day delivery of projects and packages of works
- Leading site teams and coordinating subcontractors
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards
- Managing construction programmes, resources and site activities
- Liaising with the client, designers, subcontractors and other key stakeholders
- Monitoring progress, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions
- Managing RAMS, permits and relevant site documentation
- Supporting commercial teams with cost control, variations and forecasting
- Ensuring compliance with company health, safety, environmental and quality procedures
- Driving a strong safety culture across the project
Requirements
- Previous experience working as an Agent, Site Agent or similar
- Strong civil engineering construction background
- Experience within water, utilities, infrastructure or other major civil engineering projects
- Previous Tier 1 or major-project experience would be highly advantageous
- Strong understanding of health & safety and construction delivery
- Experience managing site teams and subcontractors
- Good commercial awareness and ability to work to programme
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Relevant civil engineering qualification or demonstrable industry experience
- SMSTS and CSCS would be advantageous
