Our client a major tier one contractor is looking to hire a permanent Agent for their £124m Major Highways Programme in Wokingham.

The project will be working with Wokingham Borough Council under the Scape National Civil Engineering and Infrastructure framework for a four year project, will include the planning, design and construction of nine vital road schemes in Wokingham

The Project includes the development and construction of access and distributor roads, plus associated structures, to four Strategic Development Locations and Barkham Bridge creating twelve thousand new housing units across Wokingham. In detail, the Project involves directly commissioned and delivered construction works at nine site locations and their integration into eight other projects being separately delivered by Developers. 

As an Agent, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Motivate team and manage performance; monitor the competency of team members and undertake training/ coaching as appropriate
  • Set targets and KPI’s in line with Project / Business objectives and monitors performance
  • Carry out periodic Safety & Environment Tours as required by the Project H & S Plan
  • Lead / Reviews Accident / Incident Investigations. Reviews and appraises findings and leads / directs the appropriate action arising (HFACS and Four Page Reports)
  • Appraise improvement options and leads action / instigates as appropriate
  • Lead periodic risk reviews and takes output forward to the Project Risk Register
  • Monitor effectiveness of the H & S Management System
  • Identifie and arranges training as required
  • Sets target and KPI’s in line with Project objectives and monitors performance
  • Ensure site audits are undertaken and takes appropriate action on the findings

Skills:

*Holds a current driving license and CSCS Card. SMSTS qualified.

* Experience in the management of pavement reconstruction and surfacing operations, including phasing and contingency planning

* Understands and can guide others in the principles of Accident / Incident Investigation Good working knowledge of current H & S legislation

* Proficient in the application of Company Systems Innovative approach to enhancing safe systems of work

* Clear understanding and experience of the requirements for handover and self-certification of the works
