Carmichael UK is working with a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering a major highways project in Gloucestershire. We are seeking an experienced Agent with strong FRC (fibre reinforced concrete) knowledge who can take ownership on site and drive works forward.
The Role
As Agent, you will take a central role in managing site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards. You will support the Project Manager and coordinate engineers and subcontractors, with a particular focus on concrete and structural works.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day delivery of site works, with a focus on FRC elements

Drive works forward, managing subcontractors, site engineers, and supervisors

Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, RAMS, and quality standards

Assist with planning, short-term programmes, and method statements

Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality, and environmental compliance

Liaise with the project team to solve technical or delivery issues

Support reporting, inspections, and as-built documentation
About You

Proven experience as an Agent / Site Agent on highways or major infrastructure projects

Strong knowledge and experience of FRC (fibre reinforced concrete) – essential

Confident leading site teams and driving works forward

Experience working with a Tier 1 main contractor

CSCS and SMSTS (essential)
