An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Agent with knowledge in Structural Steel / RC / infrastructure to join a leading contractor on an airports upgrade project in West London.
You will be responsible for ensuring project delivery and enabling the execution of the principal contractor / principal designer obligations, the planning, monitoring and management of construction activities and all Health and Safety aspects.
Works will involve delivery of a multistorey RC / Steel Structure and is expected to last 1 year.
The successful candidate will need to possess:
- Strong ability to manage a construction site. This includes all construction related activities, safety and quality aspects of the works.
- Considerable experience in managing major civil / structural packages, preferably in large scale infrastructure / terminal / station or similar safety-conscious environment.
- A good awareness of construction methods plant and equipment installation, finishes and systems integration.
- Be knowledgeable of the CDM Regulations as applied to the Design and Construction processes.
- Be knowledgeable of relevant British, European and Company Standards and the Reference/Working Manual.
- Experience of working on multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
- Experience of operating in a multi-contractor site environment.
- Experience of commissioning and handover of infrastructure assets for operational use and effective construction phasing.
- Experience of working in complex project management, safety focused and regulated organisation, where there are multiple, complex interfaces and delivering to time, budget and quality.
Essential Skills Required:
- Experience managing large scale civil / structural / RC works packages for a main contractor – Preferably in an airports / highways environment
- A Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or Equivalent HNC
- Valid CSCS card
- Previously worked as an Agent or Construction Manager with a main contractor
