My client, a well-known civil engineering subcontractor in the South of England, is seeking a Site Agent to join their team on a permanent basis, based in the Bristol area. You will be involved in a major Rail renewal project in the region.
Main Duties:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic, determined and dedicated in all tasks
- Work very well towards deadlines, under pressure, utilising high motivation
- Excellent time management skills with well-developed prioritisation giving high organisational levels
- Ability to lead, motivate and inspire others, a committed team player
- Support the Construction and Project Manager in the execution of his duties, and management of smaller construction contracts.
- Provide method statements, hazard risk assessments, and project management plans.
- Understand tender allowances and monitor contract costs against agreed budgets.
- Preparing and monitoring programmes of work.
- Assessment and engagement of sub-contractors.
- Manage design co-ordination.
- Manage contracts to ensure timely and profitable completion of contracts.
You Should be:
- A good communicator with the ability to instruct and direct staff
- A good organiser, both of self and others with the ability to think in advance
- Experienced in people management and motivation of staff
- Degree or HNC qualified in Civil Engineering
- Experience in managing site and section engineers
- You will have significant main contractor civils experience especially in Rail renewals and signalling
