Carmichael are recruiting for one of the largest rail infrastructure Upgrade projects in the UK.

We are keen to hear from you if you have construction fit-out experience with an emphasis on cladding, architectural finishings and firestopping.

This project is expected to last another 6 months and you will benefit from market competitive rates whilst working for one of the industry’s leading contractors.

 You will be working on a Major Station Upgrade project in Central London responsible for management of the interior / exterior fit-out process for the duration of the contract.

 

As an Agent for this scope of works, your duties will include:

  • Strong ability to manage a construction site. This includes all construction related activities, safety and quality aspects of the works.
  • Management of fit out works and subcontractors
  • Considerable experience in managing major external works packages, preferably in a railway station construction site or similar safety-conscious environment.
  • A good awareness of construction methods plant and equipment installation, finishes and systems integration.
  • Experience of working on multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
  • Experience of operating in a multi-contractor site environment.
  • Experience of commissioning and handover of infrastructure assets for operational use and effective construction phasing.
  • Experience of working in complex project management, safety focused and regulated organisation, where there are multiple, complex interfaces and delivering to time, budget and quality.

 

If you would like to apply for the Agent position, you will also need to demonstrate the following:

  • Have previously worked within the fit out and civils sectors - Major Station / Build projects preferred
  • Previously worked as a Sub Agent, Agent  (preferably with a main contractor)
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of quality assurance, writing method statements and risk assessments
  • Hold a construction related degree or HNC
  • Hold a valid CSCS Card
