About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced and driven Agent (Structures) to take a leading role in delivering major structural works on the HS2 project in Buckinghamshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure programmes and manage the successful delivery of complex civil engineering packages, including bridges, viaducts, retaining walls, and reinforced concrete structures.
You’ll oversee planning, coordination, and execution of works on site, ensuring safety, quality, and programme are achieved to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of structural works in accordance with design, specification, and HS2 standards

Manage and coordinate Section Engineers, Site Engineers, and subcontractors to ensure effective delivery

Develop and maintain construction programmes, resource plans, and progress reports

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across all operations

Manage quality assurance, inspections, and technical documentation

Liaise with designers, planners, commercial teams, and client representatives

Drive innovation, efficiency, and collaboration within the delivery team

Oversee cost control and ensure works are delivered within agreed budgets and timescales
About You

Degree or HNC/HND in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)

Proven experience as an Agent or Sub-Agent on major civil infrastructure projects

Strong background in structural works (bridges, viaducts, or RC structures)

Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills
-
Thorough understanding of project management principles, QA systems, and HSE best practices
-
CSCS, SMSTS, and other relevant certifications
