I’m currently seeking to recruit an Appointed Person / Lift Supervisor for a utilities Sub Contractor, in London, on a multi-billion pound infrastructure project. The current work packages are due for completion in late 2020 and there will be on-going opportunities for the right candidate.
Due to the size of the company, the ideal candidate will be able to both write/prepare lifts plans then oversee the work on site.
Requirements of the role:
- The successful candidates must have good knowledge of LOLER and Lifting Operations
- Able to produce site-specific method statements and risk assessments, including site-specific lifting plans.
- Manage lifts and liaise closely with clients on site.
- Planning and supervising lifting operations
- Ensure safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
Essential Experience:
- A Valid Competent Person Qualification issued by one of the following award bodies :
- CPCS A61 Appointed Person (Blue Card)
- LOLER Competent Person (Certificate of Competence OPITO)
- ECITB Appointed Person – Appointed Person Moving Loads (Certificate of Training) and TAP01 Planning a Rigging Operation (Certificate of Achievement)
- Previous experience in planning and supervising lifting operations
- Valid CSCS Card
- You will have worked as an Appointed Person on a major construction project
