CarmichaelUK are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to work for a long-running tier 1 joint venture. This JV look after the highways and roads maintenance and upgrade programme in Central London, operating as part of the London Highways Alliance. This is a progressive position with the view to the successful candidate becoming a Project Manager running their own jobs after a couple of months.
Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Driving forward and developing a number of projects within the framework
- Cost and budget planning alongside the commercial team
- Ensuring programme deliverables are hit on time
- Effectively managing and coordinating teams of engineers and blue collar workers
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a degree or HND in Civil Engineering or related subject
- Have a valid CSCS card
- Have worked on a major highways project
- Have knowledge of traffic management, structures, surfacing, kerbs
