Assistant Project Controls Manager - HS2

An exciting opportunity has come up for an Assistant Project Controls Manager to work for a main joint venture on HS2. This is a freelance role and is based out of Birmingham. 
 
Description of Activities to be undertaken
  • Ensure all project data represented accurately
  • Meet all reporting deadlines for both internal and external reporting.
  • Lead the review of suppliers reporting
  • Assist project managers in designing report templates for new work packages
  • Liaise with team members to collate data and gain better understanding of presented information
  • Design and manage process flow for reports production and review
  • Adhere to the Project Quality Plan and Integrate Management System (IMS)
  • Maintain KPIs records along with trend analysis
  • Excellent Good understanding of Earned Value Analysis
  • Knowledgeable in planning and scheduling concepts 
  • Previous experience working in an NEC3 contract ideally on a large infrastructure project in the public sector
 
Minimum Qualifications Needed for Role
  • Ability to interpret and manipulate complex data from various different platforms and systems. 
  • Good knowledge in data modelling and concepts of data warehousing specially ETL.
  • Expert level on Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good knowledge of Primavera P6 planning software.
  • Good knowledge of finance systems ideally COINS.
  • Highly skilled in visualising data and designing dashboards.
  • Business intelligence preferably Power BI
  • Knowledge of writing macros
