A Major JV project is looking for a H&S Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis for the High Speed 2 Rail Link tunnels
It is responsible for delivering the £multi-million Chilterns Tunnels and Colne Valley Viaduct contract as part of a section of the new High Speed Rail link between London and Birmingham.
Initially the role will be based in North London and then will head out to Uxbridge early next year once the project full mobilises on site.

They have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quality Manager, main duties as follows:

  • Reports to Quality and Assurance who has overall responsibility for the Quality Management System.
  • Supports the Quality and Assurance Manager in developing the Quality Management System.
  • Provides support to the project team for the implementation the project-specific Contract Quality Plan.
  • Ensures that the policies and procedures are being carried out properly.
  • Ensures compliance with all Project quality requirements.
  • Evaluates the Project’s performance to improve efficiency, eliminate waste and control changes.
  • Perform quality audits or surveillance.
  • Ensure strict adherence to compliance requirements at all times.
  • Uses relevant quality tools to improve the project performance.
  • Works with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers
  • Prepares and keeps up to date all quality requirements on work methods / procedures.
  • Raises non-conformities and follows up ensuring effective implementation for timely close out.
  • Monitor inspection activities of Third Party Inspections and review reports.
  • Maintains required construction quality performance data.
  • Complies with the Document Control process.

Essential requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
Minimum of eight years’ experience or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience and construction experience that bridges both field and engineering responsibilities.
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 19011.
Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor Training.
Knowledge of the construction process, means and methods, and materials, their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerances.
