Our client is looking for an Assistant Site Manager working in a contract in Banbury Area. Immediate start, planned duration 2 months (this may be extended). The candidate will report to the Contract Manager allocated to this project and must be organised and able to work to tight deadlines.

Duties will include (this may not be exhaustive).

  1. Collation of contract inspection sheets in accordance with the Inspection & Test Plan.
  2. Collation of quality management data on site.
  3. Collation of completed daily works records.
  4. Collation of information to complete project safety files and O&M manuals.
  5. Assist the Contract Manager in ensuring that safe practices are continually developed to ensure maximum safety for all employees and other persons.
  6. Ensure employees work in a safe and tidy manner and wear personal protective equipment.
  7. Co-operate and liaise with Clients and other relevant stakeholders as applicable.
  8. Familiarise themselves with the Company Health and Safety Policy and their responsibilities under the relevant health and safety legislation.
  9. Ensure that all employees under their supervision are fully aware of the procedures in the case of fire or other emergency.
  10. Ensure that all employees under their supervision know the whereabouts of first aid facilities and the names of first aiders.
  11. Ensuring that all near misses, accidents/incidents involving injury, damage to property or lost time are reported to the Contract Manager and HSEQ Department.
  12. Assist the Contract Manager to ensure operatives are trained and competent to carry out the work.
  13. Encourage the workforce to work in a safe manner with respect to environmental management.
  14. Familiarise themselves with the Company and project environmental Policy and their responsibilities under the relevant environmental legislation.
  15. Assist the Contract Managers in ensuring that safe environmental practices are continually developed and report any inadequacies in current controls.
  16. Ensuring that all environmental incidents and near misses are reported to the Contract Manager and HSEQ Manager.
  17. Collation of environmental reporting data as required.
  18. Collect and provide waste transfer tickets.
  19. Ensuring that all visitors are briefed prior to their being permitted to go on to site.
  20. Maintaining and providing copies of the site signing in sheets.
  21. Maintaining and providing copies of the Daily Log Sheets.
  22. Collating of the companys Inspection sheets and providing copies thereof along with all necessary supporting documents.
  23. Collating of as built measurements and marked up drawings.
  24. Collation of any changes to the planned works (or the works information) so that the necessary Early Warnings can be recorded for assessment by our commercial team.

The candidate must be prepared to carry out any additional tasks requested by the Divisional Director or other members of the Management team.

Hours to suit site working hours: typically 08:00 – 17:00hrs

Candidate must hold a current CSCS card and have a working knowledge of the Windows Suite of Products (primarily Word and Excel).
