Role:
Due to growth, our client are now looking for an Assistant Supply Chain Manager to join the business.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager on site, the Assistant Supply Chain Manager will support the development and deliverables of the procurement & supply chain management team; improving control and efficiencies in line the procurement strategy and assisting in delivering procurement best practice into the business.
 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and develop the Supply Chain Relationship Management Plan to support effective procurement and supply chain management for the business
  • Produce quarterly spend data reports including segmentation, resilience and a contribution to a narrative providing insight.
  • Participate in identifying opportunities to establish new frameworks from spend analysis, future business requirements and stakeholder engagements
  • Maintain supply chain due diligence to mitigate CCO, modern slavery and right to work risks.
  • Provide support to ensure that the businesses procurement strategy clearly reflects the company’s vision for Sustainable Procurement that includes Health & Safety, Environment, Ethical & Social Responsibility, Equality, Social, Community, Economic and Digital Engineering requirements
  • Supporting the Sustainable Procurement delivery elements of the Sustainable Strategy Framework
  • Review business policies and procedures to ensure procurement and supply chain support wider business objectives
  • Support in developing, reviewing, and updating Procurement policies & procedures
  • Participate in industry best practise sustainable procurement development
 
Skills & Experience:
  • Degree education desirable
  • Member of Charted institute of Purchasing and Supply CIPS Qualification or working towards
  • Competence in use of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint
  • Construction industry experience
