You will act as the authority for BIM (Building Information Modelling). The position drives the use of digital information, client policy, policy guaranteeing compliance in line with industry standards and meeting end-user requirements.
BIM managers also support the IS Manager role, this will relate to all projects enabling the client to fully implement BIM Level 2.
You will report on progress and also highlight potential risk's to senior managers, thus ensuring support is offered enabling the uptake of digital construction techniques.
You will offer input on group activities, thereby promoting a "lessons learned" culture and promoting best practice.
The key deliverable of this role is acting as the client's internal BIM champion to encourage the utilisation of this process.
Must Haves:
- Demonstrable track record of driving efficiencies via continuous improvement.
- Full awareness of appropriate softwares, tools and the ability to view and interrogate models.
- Clear and confident in your ability to affect change.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft office suite.
- BS & PAS 1192 suite of standards and knowledge of related ISOs. Full working knowledge.
- A passion for challenging the norm and creating new codes of practice.
