Carmichael UK have collaborated with a tier 1 main contractor to provide staff to project which is delivering the upgrade of two Compression Stations in Cambridgeshire on behalf of National Grid.
The primary driver for the project is to reduce emissions associated with moving gas around the UK to support EU legislation; added benefits include increased system resilience and reduced overall risk on the National Transmission System by replacing aging assets with modern, efficient equipment.
They are now looking for a Commercial Lead, with civil engineering background, to lead the commercial team.
The main focus of the role will be to manage cost control, subcontractors, purchasing and negotiations and ensuring the project is delivered within agreed timelines.
The candidate will have previous experience within similar role, degree qualified and ideally from quantity surveying background.
