Carmichael are recruiting for experienced Commissioning Engineers, with solid experience working on water process projects.
Responsibilites will incude -
- To liaise with design and suppliers / sub-contractors to ensure that equipment is fully set up and commissioned at each project
- Ensure technical input and expertise is best utilised
- Ensures equipment is FAT tested and snag free prior to arrival on site
- Ensure capture of installation, testing and commissioning data
- Responsible for quality and snag free installation and commissioning
- Input into Early Contractor Involvement process through site surveys of systems and equipment
- Liaison with the STW representatives from Asset Creation (AC) and Service Delivery (SD) on an ongoing basis
- Liaison with the STW SAP for the project
- Full project cycle commissioning input (from outline design to final commissioning and handover)
- Able to write commissioning plans and procedures
- Able to carry out hands on commissioning activities
- FAT testing and management of close out of defects found
- Demonstrated ability to carry out trouble shooting
- Management of Process / M&E through design refinement and scope change
- Review electrical and/or mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, FDS documents, P&I documents and instigate required design change as and when necessary
- Co-ordination of project commissioning activities and close liaison with any 3rd party Commissioning Engineer ensuring successful commissioning.
- Manage Process / M&E Design and Scope Changes
Requirements for this role-
- Engineering qualification in relevant discipline
- Knowledge and experience of the engineering discipline appropriate with the project scope
- Electrical conversant to 17th or any subsequent edition of the Electrical Regulations
- Demonstrated ability to understand the water and waste water treatment processes as a whole and commission in a structured manner
