Commissioning EC&I Technician – Nuclear Sector

We are seeking a Commissioning EC&I Technician to join our team, ideally with prior experience in the UK nuclear industry.

This role requires successful completion of the necessary security clearances, including (but not limited to) BPSS and a P4 pass.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Placing safety at the forefront of all activities, supporting our drive towards Zero Harm.
  • Acting as a safety ambassador, promoting best practices across nuclear, radiological, conventional, and environmental safety.
  • Undertaking a full range of testing activities across all commissioning phases.
  • Supporting the creation of test documentation and records.
  • Assisting with the initiation and implementation of FOBs and TQs.
  • Carrying out tests in the presence of third-party witnesses.
  • Applying and removing Temporary Commissioning Aids.
  • Accurately recording data to meet testing requirements.
  • Using completions management systems to plan and track commissioning work.
  • Delivering work in line with the project schedule.
  • Taking part in multidisciplinary design reviews and collaborating closely with engineering teams.

Candidate Profile
To be considered, you should have:

  • A time-served background or equivalent in an engineering discipline (e.g., piping, electrical).
  • An ONC (or equivalent qualification) preferred.
  • Proven project commissioning experience.
  • IOSH Working Safely certification (or equivalent).
  • A valid trade card.
  • Strong IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Go Completions software.
