Concrete Finisher – Plymouth
Location: Plymouth
Duration: Long-term work
Basic Rate: £20.81 per hour
Overtime 1: £31.22 per hour
Overtime 2: £41.62 per hour
Quals: Level 2 NVQ in Concrete Finishing
We are currently looking for experienced Concrete Finishers to join a major long-term construction project in Plymouth.
Duties will include:
· Carrying out concrete finishing works to a high standard
· Floating, trowelling and finishing freshly poured concrete
· Levelling and smoothing concrete surfaces
· Repairing and making good concrete where required
· Working to line, level and specified tolerances
· Using hand and power tools associated with concrete finishing
· Working alongside formwork, steel fixing and site teams
· Following site drawings, specifications and safe working procedures
· Maintaining high standards of health and safety on site
Competencies / Requirements:
· Level 2 NVQ in Concrete Finishing
· CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card
· Safety Critical Medical
· Previous experience working as a Concrete Finisher on construction or civil engineering projects
· Strong knowledge of concrete finishing techniques
· Ability to work effectively as part of a busy site team
· Must be able to meet the project's BPSS security clearance requirements
Security Clearance Requirements
Due to the security-sensitive nature of the project, all successful applicants will be required to complete BPSS security clearance before starting on site.
Applicants must be able to provide the required documentation and information to successfully complete the vetting process, including proof of identity, right to work and employment/history checks.
Due to the project’s security requirements, applicants must meet the required nationality eligibility criteria, including being a national of a NATO member country where applicable.
All offers and start dates will be subject to successful completion of the required security vetting and clearance process.
This is a long-term opportunity on a major infrastructure project in Plymouth, with excellent overtime rates available.
