Carmichael are recruiting for a construction manager in central london on behalf of a tier 1 company on a high end commerical fit out project.
Duration: ASAP - June 30th, potenial to extend
Location: closest Station Tottenham court road
Rate: £300 umbrella inside IR35 (rate open for negotiation)
Role Purpose:
Effectively and professionally manage and monitor the design of and construction of site works including subcontract packages. Deliver in accordance with company procedures, programmes requirements and project specifications.
Experience:
- Extensive knowledge and recent experience of high end commercial offices fit out works in London to a CAT A finish
- Previous experience as a Senior Construction Manager on projects/construction sites.
- Management experience of multi trade contractors
- Construction related qualification to HNC level
Responsibilities:

Manage the design process for works packages in line with the programme, inclusive of chairing design meetings between the design team and trade contractors, commenting on drawings, processing information required to facilitate the works to progress on site

Manage site team who oversee subcontractors, labour and material requirements for the contract and support Project Managers with matters primarily relating to on site activities

Knowledge of scope development for internal fit out works for high end commercial offices

Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with statutory regulations, current standards and company quality assurance procedures

Ensure good communication within the project team and manage any construction managers and supervisors in the project team. This includes supervising, conducting appraisals and assisting with any development issues

Assist in understanding the design process and report to project manager/design team any design anomalies

Ensure good record keeping and work closely with the relevant commercial package managers to ensure close control of commercial packages
