Carmichael are seeking an experienced Construction Support Engineer to join a major infrastructure project based in Oxfordshire.

The Construction Support Engineer (Structural), CSS is accountible for:

• Responding to inquiries of the contractor for structural issues.

• Reviewing construction Products and Materials Approvals Form for structures  

• Review and assist in responding to Field Change Requests (FCR)

• Reviewing of fabrication details, shop drawings for structures

• Review Temporary works design (only where it impacts permanent works)

• Reporting of monitoring, testing etc results and preparing reports

• Producing As-built Drawings for structural assets

• Contributing to the Quarterly Reports as required by the Contract Scope Health and Safety Objectives Assist in monitoring that all ASC Site-based staff and Site visitors have been trained and inducted prior to working or visiting sites

Knowledge & Experience:

Construction Support Engineer (Structural), CSS has the following technical skills:

• BSc/BEng with an emphasis in structural engineering

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience on Design and Build projects dealing with structural (including viaducts, tunnels and bridges) issues and resolving them, preferably on rail projects or other linear projects of similar nature.

• Demonstrated proficiency in the English language, both speaking and writing

• Chartered status preferred. The Construction Support Engineer (Structural), CSS has the following wider skills / knowledge:
