Job Title: Contracts Engineer – CFA Piling Project

About the Role
Carmichael UK is seeking an experienced Contracts Engineer to support a major CFA (Continuous Flight Auger) piling project at the Trafford Centre. This is a 24-week programme involving the installation of approximately 4,000 CFA piles, requiring strong technical oversight and coordination to ensure delivery to programme, quality, and safety standards.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced civils project with an immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day engineering and contractual aspects of the CFA piling works

Manage and coordinate subcontractors and site teams

Ensure works are delivered in line with programme and technical specifications

Review and manage method statements, risk assessments, ITPs, and QA documentation specific to CFA piling

Liaise with client representatives and key stakeholders

Monitor progress, quality, and compliance with health & safety standards

Provide technical support and resolve engineering issues on site

Assist with reporting, forecasting, and commercial awareness of works
Requirements:

Proven experience working as a Contracts Engineer on CFA piling or major civils projects

Strong understanding of CFA piling methodologies, sequencing, and quality control

Experience delivering high-volume piling programmes

CSCS card (essential)

SMSTS/SSSTS (desirable)

Strong communication and organisational skills
