Carmichael are seeking a cost controller to join the team based in Aylesbury

As a Cost Controller you will report to the Office Manager. You will be required to collect goods received notes from sites and enter into GRN system. You will also be responsible for Invoice verification including matching and processing. You will need to record and process payroll information, labour allocation including Time and Attendance, New Starts, Leavers, Daily Labour Allocation reporting etc.

We will need you to take ownership of cost monitoring and reporting which will include weekly cost reporting of labour, plant and materials, as well as monthly monitoring of costs. There will also be some general duties such as collating staff time allocation sheets, meeting room management and office consumables procurement.

About The Candidate

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Finance Systems, Payroll Systems and Information Management
  • Previous experience of producing reports
  • Previous experience in Cost Control
  • Good organisation and communication skills
  • IT skills are essential in MS Office
  • Knowledge of the Construction/Civil Engineering industry is desirable
