A freelance or perm opportunity exist for a Structural or Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in the dismantling of structures/buildings/factories which include heavy reinforced concrete members and structural steel components.
Reporting to the Demolitions Contracts Manager, you will take ownership of the project and your duties will include -
- Preparation, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the engineering aspects of the destruction
- Ensure all contract documentation, calculations and data is in order
- Ensure all actions are conducted in a safe manor
- Challenge the program and cost efficiency
- Develop solutions and checking engineering methods
- Address technical queries
Requirements for this post include -
- Civil Structural/Mechanical Engineering degree
- Competent is structural calculations
- Proven project management experience including RAMS
- Medium to large scale demolitions experience
- Able to manage junior Engineers
- AutoCAD 2D and 3D literate
- Commercially aware
