Carmichael are recruiting for an experienced Design Manager, to take care of the civil/structural, building services and architectural aspects of a new National Grid substation.
As Design Manager, you Will be responsible for managing civil/structural design subconsultant, MEP design subconsultant and modular building subcontractor with respect to design.
Requirements for this position -
- Experience of contractor’s design management function and associated project controls
- Knowledge experience of transmission engineering projects, i.e. major substations would be advantageous
- Understanding of NEC professional services contract form and principles and contract admin experience preferred
- Mixture of consulting and contracting background/experience ideal
- Working knowledge of BIM/ISO 19650 /Information Management preferred
