International tier one civil engineering contractor seeks to employ an experienced Design Manager to be the interface between the Design Consultants and the project team. The ideal candidate will have civil engineering insight and experience on multi-disciplinary projects that include earthworks, piling, structures and M&E.
The Design Manager duties will include –
- Evaluate and comment on the design
- Offer technical input into the constructability of a project
- Comment on the commercial viability
- Oversee the flow of project information and drawings
- Create a collaborative environment with the Design Team
The requirements for this post include
- A civil engineering qualification
- Previous long term experience as a Design Manager for a tier 1 or 2 civil engineering contractor
- Previous hands-on construction or civil engineering design experience highlighting constructability knowledge
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Commercially astute
