Carmichael is looking for a Document Control Manager to join a major infrastructure project in Plymouth. 


 The successful candidate will manage the DC / admin team to provide support to the site team, and it is essential that you can prioritise your workload and work under pressure.
• Good knowledge of computer systems – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, BIM and Outlook.
• Excellent computer skills and willingness to expand knowledge of other applications.
• Experienced user of electronic document management systems. Systems such as Livelink, BIM 360, Conject etc. Skills are transferable from other systems and training is available.
• Demonstrate familiarity with BIM as a concept and its place within the industry  
• Good time management and able to commit and work to deadlines.
• Be a team player, flexible and able to work with others. 
• Excellent communication skills.



  • Receive documents in data, paper and electronic format
  • Establish and maintain paper and computer-based document filing systems 
  • Review and distribute documents in line with agreed departmental procedures 
  • Maintain accurate paper and computer-based records, logging distributed documents
  • Process responses to documents issues
  • Chase responses to documents issued where required 
  • Administer requests for information
  • conduct periodic archiving
  • Remain up to date with all company policies and procedures, industry legislation and guidance applicable with the job
  • Carry out other relevant duties as required from time to time
