We have been instructed to recruit for a freelance Document Controller for a major highways scheme in the Southampton region. The sections of works you will be undertaking include earthworks, civil & structural engineering works and new road construction so previous experience within these areas would be highly advantageous.
This is being managed by two international companies who are working in partnership so this is a prime opportunity for you to work with two established organisations who span multiple sectors including rail, power, water, building and natural resources. Not only are they working on the Hinkley Point project but also have a number of projects which will also give you scope for progression and the possibility of seeking permanent employment if you so desire.
To be Successful in this role as the Document Controller, it will be desired that you have the experience in the following:
  • Good knowledge of the Document Management process in the Construction Industry, at commercial and construction design stages.
  • Good understanding of ISO9001 requirements with regards to Documents Management, knowledge of Specification for information management (PAS 1192-2:2013 / BS 1192:2015)
  • Good organisational skills (prioritising tasks, respecting deadlines, methodical work)
  • Good knowledge of the Document Management process in the Construction Industry, at commercial and construction design stages.
  • Being able to engage with the client and supply chain.
