Document Controller/Administrator

My client, a leading Civils Main Contractor, is seeking to recruit a Document Controller, to produce supporting documentation.

You will be required to assist in the safe custody of source records held by the Design office, liaise with Client, consultants and project teams. 

Principle Accountabilities or Main Tasks:

  • Operate, maintain and develop the source record database system, producing requests, returns and reports as required.
  • Production of transmittals for design documents.
  • Issue of design documents to the client and other engineering functions.
  • Assist the Design Co-Ordinator in collation of progress achieved each week against the project plan.

Performance Criteria:

  • Ensure the records availability levels are attained to meet programme requirements.
  • Ensure source record returns timescales are met to achieve profit targets.
  • Ensue project plan progress data is made available to the required timescales.

Personal Specification:

  • Appropriate Document Management experience
  • Knowledge of Civil Engineering Design documentation
  • Motivation
  • Interpersonal Skills
