Responsibilities
- Provide support to MEICA engineering team in managing subcontractor testing and commissioning activities and reviewing documentation, ensuring compliance with BMB, Tideway and Thames Water requirements.
- Provide support to MEICA engineering team in delivering subcontractor testing and commissioning activities on site.
- Support the Electrical Manager in planning and preparing for electrical activities, including preparation of documentation and coordination with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate, control and undertake integrated testing and commissioning activities, supervising testing and commissioning subcontractors where engaged
- Review and provide feedback to design team to ensure ‘design to commission’ principles are implemented.
- Manage defects and corrective actions
- Proactively develop and manage customer relationships to ensure mutually satisfactory outcomes are achieved.
- Ensure the achievement of customer performance targets
Issue and manage permit systems to ensure the safe electrical working practices are adhered to.
Details of experience and knowledge:
- Experience of working in the water industry, preferably with Thames Water
- Experience working as an Electrical Authorised Person (AP)
- Ability to work in a team environment contributing across a project, site or area
- Good management skills, with the ability to motivate self and colleagues to perform
- Good planning and time management skills; able to manage activities simultaneously within compromising on standards and quality
- Ability to ensure standards and specifications are met
- Ability to work with colleagues to contribute to project and operational performance
Sound knowledge of construction practises and standards
