A Tier 1 Construction contractor requires an experienced Electrical Project Engineer for work on a utilities tunnel project based at Heathrow.
The individual will work for the Electrical Manager. The work requires site surveys, assimilating the relevant electrical documentation to enable the preparation of detailed method statements. The individual needs a good electrical technical knowledge and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs to be able to produce detailed, illustrated and well-articulated method statements. The position may suit an electrical design engineer with a practical background.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Site surveys
- ‘Red-lining’ as-built schematics and SLDs
- Permit requests identifying points of isolation.
- Production of detailed method statements for approval.
- Liaise/ coordinate with suppliers and electrical supervisors
- Attend site progress meetings and plan/ schedule your method statement production activities
The Individual
- Degree/ HND qualified engineer in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Control Systems.
- The ability to work at night for survey work. Tunnel shutdowns are at night.
- Cumulative 10 years’ experience and competency in Electrical Works.
- Experience of road tunnel would be an advantage.
- The candidate must have good communication skills and be well organised.
- The ability to use AutoCAD is a bonus.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
