We’re looking to recruit an Engineering Geologist to join our client on a freelance basis in Buckinghamshire for 12 months. In this role, you can expect to:
- Collect spatially located geological and geomorphological information exposed by construction activities, using field techniques and remote sensing techniques where appropriate.
- Record the spatially located information to an agreed standard and in an agreed format.
- Supply geological and geomorphological data to satisfy the requirements of the Client.
- Assist the Senior Geologist in the production of agreed methods, standards, and techniques for recording and storing geological and geomorphological data prior to the collection process.
- Assist the Senior Geologist in reviewing and refining the above methods, standards, and techniques during the collection period.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree/HNC in Geology or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in a similar position.
- Ability to comprehend and understand complex three-dimensional geological situations.
- Strong data management, quantitative, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in recording geological features to the relevant British and/or International Standards.
