Engineering Surveyor – HS2- Underground Works – TBM& SCL
We are looking for experienced Monitoring Surveyors to join an Engineering Survey Team on the biggest project in the UK!
We have multiple long term opportunities with Tier1 Contractors JV on various sites in London.
As a member of a Tier 1 Geospacial team, you will be responsible for:
- topographical surveys
- setting out TBM and SCL works
- precise movement monitoring surveys
- Carrying out precise traversing for tertiary survey control
- Carrying out precise levelling for benchmark control
- quality assurance of the works
- Mentoring and training of Assistant Engineering Surveyors, apprentices and graduates.
Required qualifications and skills:
- Degree in Land Surveying or Engineering
- Tec in Land Surveying or Engineering Surveying or Membership of a relevant professional institution such as the ICES
- Experience of TBM/SCL tunneling and associated works.
- A willingness to working a shift pattern
- Computer competence including experience of specialist survey software packages (Excel, CAD; AutoCAD, Microstation, Specialist Survey Packages; Star*Net, LSS, SCC, Cyclone, Scene, Infinity etc.)
- Extensive awareness of appropriate instruments and associated software for varied platforms.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, weekly programmes and relevant QA procedures
- Relevant CSCS Card
