I have a requirement for a Engineering Surveyor with structures experience to work on the A14.
The A14 improvement scheme is one of the UK’s largest road projects. This vital upgrade will relieve congestion, unlock growth and help to connect communities. The scheme includes both new highway construction and the widening and improvement of existing highways. This is a joint venture between Costain, Balfour Beatty and Skanska who have been contracted by Highways England to deliver the A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon improvement scheme.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities
The skills desirable to effectively fulfil your role are outlined below;

Provide expert advice and estimation of cost to the project team on site geospatial needs and requirements.

Ensure that the Geospatial technical expertise is available for the project.

Ensure that advances in technology are used to optimise operational efficiency and are cost efficient.

Adhere to the OWOW procedures.
Support for projects on initial start-up to delivery.

The ability to undertake the engineering survey requirements on a project.

The assistance of the production of forecast and reports of the survey equipment for the project.

Share information at a team level.

Support delivery of the Engineering surveying strategy
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Degree in Land Surveying or Engineering Surveying: (Desirable) or
- ONC/B Tec in Land Surveying or previous experience as a Graduate Engineering Surveyor or Engineering surveying Technician.
- Ability to use survey instruments, software and working methods.
- Technical professional Membership of CICES or equivalent body : (Must Have)
- Commercial awareness.
