A long term, inside IR35 role exists for an experienced and knowledgeable Land/Engineering Surveyor excited by the challenge of setting out civil, structural, mechanical and piping equipment to a high degree of accuracy.
Duties include:
- Support the Lead Surveyor and undertakes surveying duties to prioritise services demand on the project
- Responsible for undertaking as-built and positional checks for the works
- Responsible for surveying and setting out complex systems, including Civil, Mechanical and Piping equipment
- Provide technical support to the project as subject matter expert
- Coach, mentor and develop less experienced surveyors / engineers to teach practicable survey / best practice techniques for setting out
- Ensure project quality assurance processes are fully complied with
- Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm.
Requirement for this post includes -
- A land surveying qualification is preferable
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Engineering Surveyors is desirable
- Extensive experience on industrial type projects for a tier one principal Contractor is advantageous
- An ability to provide survey solutions and proven mentoring skills
- Full knowledge/understanding of structural precision setting out and monitoring
- Experience/working knowledge of modern monitoring systems including geodetic & geotechnical is advantageous
- Extensive knowledge of AutoCad, Civil 3D and survey software
- CSCS, First Aid and legible to undertake a security clearance
