Carmichael are currently seeking an Environmental Manager to work on a major infrastructure project in the Greenwich area.
This is a long term contract role starting as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for maintaining developing and implementing the project environmental management system.
- Develop and provide environmental training for all project personnel to include induction, toolbox talks and specific training for personnel with specific environmental responsibilities.
- Ensure that current and future environmental legislation is identifies and its requirements are incorporated into management systems.
- Ensure we are compliant with environmental legal, contractual requirements and consents.
Experience
- Appropriate experience of environmental management on construction projects
- Good current knowledge and practical experience of legal requirements and how to comply with them, including water table, air quality, noise and vibration, surface and groundwater, contaminated land and waste
- Good knowledge and practical experience of developing, implementing and improving Environmental Management Systems compliant with ISO14001
