Tier one professional international Civil Engineering contractor with a proven track record of providing and delivering medium to large infrastructure projects including water, utilities and flood defence projects in the north of the UK, is seeking to employ an experienced Civils Estimator to strengthen their team.
Duties of Estimator will include:
• Prepare tender submissions that provide a least cost, optimal value solution for a competitive tender
• Determine quantity of work scope to produce accurate and realistic estimates for works
• Provide cost, budget, pricing schedules and tender programs to Bid Managers
• Provide estimates to Project Managers for contract variations and claims
• Establish likely progress and completion rates
• Produce contract cost codes, targets and construction breakdown structures
Qualifications and experience required -
• A Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying qualification
• Extensive experience as a Civils Estimator within the infrastructure sector
• Exposure to large complex civil engineering projects and joint ventures
• Capable of estimating using first principles
