An established civils contractor are looking to add a Foreman to their team on a contract basis.
The requirement is for a proactive Foreman who will work with the team on to complete projects within and around Surrey. The works that this contractor are covering includes earthworks, drainage, kerbing 278 and highways and local authority maintenance work - extensive experience working on these types of projects will be required as well as a willingness to get hands-on where necessary.
The overall aim of your position is to work closely with Site Management to ensure that all site activity is progressing according to plan.
Some of your responsibilities:
- Ensuring all site works is in accordance with company procedures
- Deliver toolbox talks
- Ensure H&S procedures are adhered to
- Ensure all site resources and labour are being used effectively to achieve timely completion of projects
- Ordering materials
- Getting involved directly
- Control and monitor waste, dust and other environmental issues
Qualifications and skills required
- Must be computer literate
- NVQ or NVQ Level 4 Site Supervision
- CSCS
- Plant operating certifications (eg. Digger and dumper)
- First Aid
- SSSTS
- SMSTS
