Foreman – Major Energy Project – Teesside – Contract – Inside IR35

Foreman required to assist in the delivery of one of the UK's most significant energy infrastructure projects.  Experienced Foreman required to join the construction team on the Net Zero Teesside development. The project involves major civil engineering works supporting carbon capture and low-carbon energy infrastructure.

The Role

As Foreman, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operatives and subcontract trades, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme. Working closely with Site Engineers, Site Agents, and Project Managers, you will coordinate labour, plant, and materials across multiple work fronts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate site operatives and subcontractors.
  • Manage multiple trades across heavy civil engineering activities.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Deliver daily briefings and toolbox talks.
  • Monitor productivity and progress against programme requirements.
  • Coordinate plant, materials, and labour resources.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to ensure works are delivered to specification.
  • Identify and resolve site issues to maintain programme delivery.
  • Ensure RAMS are implemented and adhered to.
  • Maintain accurate site records and reports.
  • Promote a positive safety culture across the project.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Foreman, General Foreman, Working Foreman, or Section Foreman on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong background managing large labour and subcontractor teams.
  • Experience within heavy civils, energy, highways, utilities, rail, industrial, or major infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to drive production while maintaining high safety standards
  • SSSTS or SMSTS
