A freelance opportunity exists for a competent General Foreman with extensive rail experience to fulfil a 2 month assignment on a 24/7 blockade on rota shift system. The construction will involve Pway, piling, new platforms, signalling, monitoring and OLE works.
Duties will include –
- Daily toolbox talks and inductions
- Daily and weekly planning
- Resource planning including materials and equipment
- Managing of in-house teams and sub contractors
- Interpretation of the drawings
- Site administration including site diary, timesheets, and plant returns etc.
- Management of the works and solving of technical issues
- Managing health and safety including the reporting thereof
Requirements
- A qualification in Civil Engineering or construction trade
- Extensive relevant previous experience within the rail sector
- PTS AC/DCCR
- CSCS card
- SSSTS/SMSTS
- First Aid
- Any other rail certification like OLEC, COSS, ICI etc
