We are currently recruiting for an experienced General Foreman with a strong structures background to join a major highways relief road project in Kent on a contract basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure scheme, delivering key structural elements including bridges, retaining walls and reinforced concrete works.
The Role
As General Foreman, you will take responsibility for supervising site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing RC structures and structural civils works
- Managing subcontractors and direct labour on site
- Ensuring compliance with HSEQ standards
- Coordinating daily activities and short-term planning
- Supporting the Site Agent / Project Team with delivery
- Driving programme and productivity on site
Requirements
- Proven experience as a General Foreman / Foreman on highways or large infrastructure projects
- Strong background in structures (bridges, culverts, RC works, retaining walls)
- Experience working on National Highways or major civils schemes
- SMSTS / SSSTS (preferred)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
