A Tier one joint venture of International Civil Engineering Contractors with an excellent track record of delivering major infrastructure projects seeks to employ competent and dynamic General Foremen to be part of a highways team for the South of England region. Previous experience on large highways projects and an above average track record will put you in pole position for this sought after post.
General Foreman duties include
- Daily toolbox talks and inductions
- Daily and weekly planning
- Resource planning including materials and equipment
- Managing of foremen, in-house teams and sub contractors
- Interpretation of the drawings
- Site administration including site diary, timesheets, and plant returns etc.
- Management of the works and solving of technical issues
- Managing health and safety including the reporting thereof
Requirements for General Foreman
- A construction or civil engineering qualification (diploma or trade) or extensive relevant experience
- Extensive Highway construction experience in the UK
- Proven management experience as a General Foreman
- Construction Related Supervisory/Technical NVQ or SVQ level 3 or 4
- CSCS GOLD card essential
- SMSTS/NRSWA preferable
- First Aid essential
