A mid-sized regional civil engineering contractor are searching for a General Foreman to join their team on a permanent basis.
Due to an increase in workload throughout the East Sussex and Kent area, they require a General Foreman with Highways Maintenance and drainage experience to join their team.
They have remained busy throughout 2020 due to the nature of the projects they undertake and have a strong order book for 2021.
This is an immediate position and require a General Foreman with a stable background who has a demonstrable track record of working on busy Highways schemes.
Your duties:
- Understand the method statements and risk assessments produced and issued for the works
- Enforce company policy on PPE with all operatives, subcontractors and visitors
- Liaise with clients/representatives in a professional manner
- Assisting the agent/project manager with carrying out site inductions and toolbox talks
- Control plant, materials and labour usage and materials usage in order to avoid waste or cost overruns
- Reporting any incidents to H&S department
