We are working with a leading specialist subcontractor delivering complex roads and earthworks packages for a Tier 1 contractor working at Sizewell C. We are seeking an experienced General Foreman to join the team on a permanent basis, overseeing site operations and ensuring safe, efficient delivery.
The Role:
- Supervise and coordinate site activities across roads, highways, and earthworks packages.
- Manage labour, plant, and subcontractor teams to meet programme and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with RAMS, ITPs, and health & safety regulations.
- Liaise with Site Engineers, Project Managers, and client representatives to resolve issues.
- Maintain accurate records of progress, resources, and site diaries
The right candidate will have:
- Proven experience as a General Foreman on civil engineering projects, ideally within a subcontractor environment.
- Strong knowledge of roads, highways, drainage, and earthworks.
- Familiar with temporary works and traffic management.
- CSCS (Gold/Black), SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple teams and deliver under tight deadlines.
